Our Annual Church Parochial Meeting and Election of Churchwardens will take place at 7.30pm on Monday 13th May 2024 at St Mark’s Church. This is our annual opportunity to elect our Churchwardens, PCC members and to review reports from many of our Ministries and church groups. Refreshments will be served, and we would love for you to join us!
Our annual report and financial statements will be shared with you soon.
PCC Vacancies
The running of a parish is the joint responsibility of the Vicar, Churchwardens, Deanery Synod members and the Parochial Church Council (PCC). As such, the PCC is our church’s governing body and is also the board of trustees which oversees the church’s charitable works and money. It’s a great way to be involved with our church family and to have a say in what goes on!
We currently have a few vacancies for 3-year, 2-year and 1-year terms and will be voting in new members at our Annual Parochial Council Meeting (APCM) on Monday 13th May 2024.
Nominees must be:
- at least sixteen years of age;
- have been on the Electoral Roll of this Parish for at least six months.
Two of our current PCC members shared with us why they opted to sign up…
“I first joined to find out what happens behind the scenes and to see if I could help and encourage new ideas…” (Jill Hanson)
“I wanted to do what I can to help ensure that the church is serving it’s congregation and community in the best way possible” (James Foster).
If you are interested in helping signing up to this vital role in our church, please talk to Luke or Kate (PCC Secretary) to find out more, or email the office.
