We are excited to let you know that during Lent this year we will be following the Diocese of Oxford’s “Come and See” program, which is an invitation to the local church and whole community, including kids, families and schools to explore faith and trust. Please check out the website and sign up on this link: https://oxford.anglican.org/come-and-see
This year the focus will be on the Beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-10) and the Sermon on the Mount. The program will start on Ash Wednesday, 22 February 2023 and will continue until Easter. Sermons in All Saints will follow each weekly theme.
What does it involve?
Once you’ve signed up, you’ll be sent a short email each day, Monday to Saturday, and/or a family-friendly weekly email. And on Sundays you’ll receive a short video from Steven Croft, the Bishop of Oxford, exploring the week’s theme in a bit more detail. Each email begins with a short passage of text from the Bible.
If you like, you will also be able to:
- Follow the programme in a weekly house group.
- Study the material on your own.
- Get resources for children and families.
- Buy a “Pilgrim Journeys” booklet matching the content of the daily emails, for just £2 incl. p&p.
You can get involved as much or as little as you like. Feel free to choose, if you have any questions, please contact Sam rev.sam.mortimer@gmail.com
