Dear all,
If you have prayer requests that you would like the congregation to pray through, then please email them to the Church Office. If you have prayer requests of a more private nature, then please send them directly to Luke – lukethevicar@gmail.com.
Please pray
- Pray that we receive enough presents for the single parents on the Alternative Advent list this Christmas
- Pray for a volunteer cook/s to prepare food for the Silver Service meal once a month
- Pray for wisdom and guidance for the PCC as they meet on Saturday 26th November for an away day to seek God’s guidance, and discuss the direction of God’s church in Binfield for the next 5 years
- Pray for more volunteers for the rotas for Sunday services, readings, chalice, welcoming and refreshments
Thank you
- Thank you for the safety measures at the Remembrance Sunday parade
- Thank you to all the marshals who volunteered their time to help keep everyone safe

Alternative Advent
There are a number of single parents in Bracknell who are unlikely to receive Christmas presents this year. Many parents ensure that their children have a great Christmas, but often go without themselves. We would like to change that. By working with the family intervention team, we are asking if you would like to buy an extra gift for a single parent. This year we are hoping to give presents to 20 single mums and 15 single dads. If you would like to contribute, then we recommend gifts up to the value of £15.00.
We will be collecting these from Sunday 20th November – Sunday 11th December. They can either be given to Luke in church, dropped off at the church office or left on the bench outside the front door of the Rectory.
Reflections on a Pilgrimage to the Holy Land
Curate Sam Mortimer will present photos and share reflections on his recent pilgrimage to Israel on Thursday 24th November from 7:45pm at 1 Minoru Place. All are welcome. Please do let us know if you’d like to join us by contacting Sam on 07505 426763.
Cooking for Silver Service
After an incredible 16 years, Jane Aylwin has decided to step down from preparing and cooking meals for Silver Service every month. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Jane for her energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to Silver Service.
From January 2023 we need a volunteer to cook a main course for up to 30 people (or two people to share and cook for 15 people each) for the fourth Tuesday every other month. It’s best to cook the food at home and take it along to St. Mark’s church for 12 noon. A £30 budget for food will be provided.
If you are interested in helping, please contact Margareta Hawkins on 01344 411 681
Volunteers
Please pray and consider if you can help in one of the following ways, serving coffee after the service, reading in church, leading the prayers, or helping with the chalice at communion. If you would like to help in any of the above areas, please let Hayley know. No previous experience is needed.
